My set fees of $180 for a standard consultation and $160 for concessions are below the rate of $254 recommended by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) for a standard one hour consultation. My aim is to make my practice affordable to all members of the community. Please contact me as the fee will depend on the type of referral you have and your personal circumstances including how the sessions will be funded.
With an appropriate referral, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $126.50 when you see a Clinical Psychologist.
Please contact me to discuss your personal circumstances.
Payment is required at the time of your consultation.
We accept payment by cash, EFTPOS, credit card or bank transfer (payment required prior to session).
If you are unable to attend an appointment or wish to reschedule, please provide a minimum of 48 hours notice. Late cancellations will incur a late cancellation fee.
Eligibility for a Medicare Rebate is determined by your GP or Psychiatrist and is based on your diagnosis. Most conditions are included such as anxiety and depression. If you are eligible, you will require a referral from a GP or Psychiatrist prior to your initial appointment with me. This referral will enable you to access up to 10 sessions per calendar year. The referral is valid for up to six sessions, after the sixth session you will need to see your doctor again for a review and to determine whether a referral is required for further sessions. Your doctor can provide further information and discuss your eligibility and referral options.
Private Health Insurance
Depending on your level of insurance cover, you may be eligible to claim a rebate through your health insurance provider. Please check your eligibility before attending your first appointment. If you have used the maximum number of medicare eligible sessions per year (10), you may then consider a private health insurance rebate depending on your level of cover. Please advise me at the time of booking your appointment that you intend to claim a rebate from your private health fund.
Please note – Medicare does not allow you to claim through Medicare and your private health fund for the same session.
